Privacy Policy
Corivex Digital Marketing Group Inc. ("Corivex", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information through our website (corivexdigitalgroup.com), our landing pages and forms, our emails, and our services. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and its fair information principles, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for commercial electronic messages.
1. Who is responsible
Corivex is responsible for personal information under its control. Our Privacy Officer is accountable for our compliance with this policy:
Privacy Officer: Danny Di Carlo
Corivex Digital Marketing Group Inc.
6 - 2160 Highway 7 #1063, Vaughan, ON L4K 1W6, Canada
Email: [email protected] · Phone: +1 289-803-1788
2. What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, business email, phone number, business name, website address, and anything you write to us (for example, when you request a free website audit, book a call, reply to an email or become a client).
- Business contact information: we may collect publicly available business contact details (such as a business name, website, and a business email or phone number published for business purposes) to contact businesses about our services. Under PIPEDA, business contact information used solely to communicate with you about your employment, business or profession is not treated as personal information, but we still protect it and honour opt-out requests.
- Information collected automatically: when you visit our pages or open our emails we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, the date and time of your visit, and whether you clicked links in our emails. We collect this using cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
- Information about your website: to prepare an audit, we review the public pages of your business website and public listings such as your Google Business Profile.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and our services are intended for businesses.
3. Why we collect it
We collect and use personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate, namely to:
- prepare and deliver the free website audit you request, and follow up about it;
- respond to your questions, replies and requests;
- provide, manage and bill for our marketing services if you become a client;
- send you marketing emails with website tips, offers and updates, where you have consented or where consent is otherwise permitted under CASL;
- understand how our website and emails are used so we can improve them;
- protect our systems, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We will not use your information for a new purpose without first identifying that purpose and, where required, getting your consent.
4. Consent
We get your consent before or when we collect personal information, except where the law allows otherwise. Depending on the sensitivity of the information, consent may be express (for example, ticking a box) or implied (for example, when you submit a form asking us to send you something, you consent to us using your details to send it).
Marketing emails (CASL). We send commercial electronic messages only with your express consent, or with implied consent as permitted by CASL (for example, after you make an inquiry, or where your business email address is conspicuously published and our message is relevant to your business role). On our audit form, the email opt-in checkbox is optional: you will receive the audit you requested whether or not you tick it. Every marketing email we send identifies us, includes our mailing address and contact information, and contains an unsubscribe link. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting our Privacy Officer. We will tell you about any consequences of withdrawing (for example, we may not be able to provide a service).
5. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep our forms working, remember your preferences, measure page visits and email engagement, and understand which content is useful. Some are set by service providers such as our marketing platform and analytics tools. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and block images in your email client to stop email open tracking; some features of our site may not work properly if you do.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with:
- Service providers who process information on our behalf, such as our customer relationship management and marketing platform (HighLevel / LeadConnector), email delivery, website hosting, analytics, scheduling and payment providers. We require them by contract to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, under a duty of confidentiality.
- Legal authorities where required or permitted by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- A buyer or successor in the event of a business sale or reorganization, subject to confidentiality protections.
7. Storage outside Canada
Some of our service providers, including our marketing platform, store or process information outside Canada, mainly in the United States. While there, your information is protected by contract and by our safeguards, but it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities in that country under its laws.
8. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Prospect and audit information is generally kept for up to 2 years after our last contact with you; client records are kept for 7 years after the end of the relationship for tax and accounting purposes. We keep a record of unsubscribe requests so we do not contact you again. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
9. How we protect it
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, password and two-factor protection on our accounts, encrypted (HTTPS) connections on our pages and forms, and limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.
If a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by PIPEDA, and keep a record of it.
10. Accuracy
We try to keep your information accurate and up to date for the purposes we use it for. Please let us know if your details change.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold personal information about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with;
- give you access to it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- stop sending you marketing messages, or withdraw your consent.
Send your request to our Privacy Officer at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within 30 days, at no cost or at minimal cost (we will tell you in advance). If we cannot give you access to some information, we will explain why, unless the law prohibits us from doing so.
12. Questions and complaints
If you have a question or concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376. Questions about commercial electronic messages can also be reported to Canada's Spam Reporting Centre at fightspam.gc.ca.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when Canada's privacy laws change. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make a significant change to how we use your personal information, we will tell you before the change applies.
